Abstract This study was aimed to investigate the association of resilience with sport achievement and menatal health in a sample of athletes. One hundred and thrty-nine athletes (96 males, 43 females) were included in this study. All participants completed Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) and Mental Health Inventory (MHI). The athletes’ coaches were asked to rate the Sport Achievement Scale (SAS) in order to measure athletes’ sport achievement. The results revealed that resilience was positively associated with sport achievement and psychological well-being, and negatively associated with psychological distress. It can be concluded that resilience is associated with sport achievement and mental health.
