Short Range Structure in the X(3872)

Abstract It is proposed that the newly discovered X(3872) is a JPC=1++ D 0 D 0∗ hadronic resonance stabilized by admixtures of ωJ/ψ and ρJ/ψ. A specific model of the state is constructed and tests of its internal structure are suggested via the predicted decay modes D 0 D 0 π 0 , D 0 D 0 γ , π+π−J/ψ, and π+π−π0J/ψ.
