We review the duality relating 2D WN?> minimal model conformal field theories, in a large-N ’t Hooft like limit, to higher spin gravitational theories on AdS3. This article is part of a special issue of Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical devoted to ‘Higher spin theories and holography’.
