Abstract We describe a mild and simple operation strategy for the direct difluoroalkylative cyclization of 2-allylphenols and 2-allylanilines promoted by non-covalent interaction between 1,4-dimethylpiperazine and difluoroalkyl iodide. This method provides a facile and useful access to a series of difluoroalkylated 2,3-dihydrobenzofurans and indolin derivatives have important applications in drug discovery and development.
