Thispaperpresentsamulti-dimensionalthermo-electricalmodelforpouch-typelarge-formatlithium-ionbatterieswithhighaccuracybothspatiallyandtemporally.Themodelincludesatwo-dimensionalelectricalmodeltocalculatethecurrentdensityoverthe currentcollectorandathree-dimensionalthermalmodeltocalculatethetemperatureinthebatterycore.Toimprovetheaccuracy,keyparametersaredeterminedfromcarefullydesignedexperiments,ratherthantakingfromtheliterature.Thermalparameters areestimatedusingajointexperimentalandcomputationalmethod.Electricalcontactresistancebetweenthecableandthetabisestimatedfromaself-heatingexperiment.Withthereliableinputparameters,thepredictedtemperatureevolutionatmultiple locationsonthecellsurfaceagreeswellwiththemeasuredresults,indicatinghighaccuracyofthemodel.Usingthevalidatedmodel,sensitivityanalysisisconductedtoevaluatetherelativeimportanceofthermalparametersonbatterythermalperformance. Itisfoundthatthespecificheatcapacityhasthegreatestinfluenceonthemaximumtemperaturerise,whilethein-planethermalconductivityhasthegreatestinfluenceonthemaximumtemperaturevariation.Itiselucidatedthatthemaincauseforthetemperature non-uniformityistheheatfluxfromthetab,ratherthanthenon-uniformityofheatgenerationrateinthecore.©TheAuthor
