We prove a topological invariance statement for the Morel–Voevodsky motivic homotopy category up to inverting exponential characteristics of residue fields. This implies in particular that SH1p of characteristic p>0 schemes is invariant under passing to perfections. Among other applications, we prove Grothendieck–Verdier duality in this context.

Another application of the existence of framed transfers is a topological invariance statement for the motivic homotopy category, up to inverting the exponential characteristic of the base field [EK18]. An application of our theory of Euler classes can be found in [JY18], where it is used to gi”
