QCD phase diagram: An Overview
By M. Stephanov. 2006
212 citations recorded by the source corpus.
The aim of this review is to summarize the contemporary understanding of the QCD phase diagram as a function of temperature and baryo-chemical potential. The focus is on recent theoretical developments due to lattice simulations of the phase diagram.

- Holographic phase transitions at finite chemical potential (2007, background): “tful avenue for the future. The second caveat is the fact that the very existence of many of the expected phases of QCD at finite chemical potential depend crucially on the fact that N c = 3 (see e.g.,[34, 35]). It is therefore unclear to what extent the large– 16 – N c limit may provide a useful app”

- The QCD phase diagram from analytic continuation (2015, background): “For heavy ion physics, the most important feature of the phase diagram of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) is the line that separates the hadron gas phase from the quark gluon plasma, and the conjectured critical end-point along this line separating cross-over from first order transition [1].”

Likewise, absent large quark chemical potentials in the early Universe, the QCD PT of the SM is known not to be rst-order [4]. However, many compelling and well-motivated extensions of the SM predict strong rst-order cosmi”
