6 June 2009 Clotrimazole (CTM) [1-[(2-chlorophenyl)-diphenyl-methyl]imidazole], an antifungal drug, was investigated as a corrosion inhibitor for aluminium in HCl using weight loss method. CTM inhibited the corrosion of aluminium in HCl. The inhibition efficiency increased with increase in the concentrations of CTM to reached 90.90% at 1 x 10
