- A framework for quantifying the value of vibration-based structural health monitoring (2022, methodology): “The forward linear FE model G predicting the eigenvalues for the Bayesian updating process is the same FE model as the one used in the SHM modal data sampling process, which constitutes a so-called inverse crime [60].”
- Deep Learning Techniques for Inverse Problems in Imaging (2020, unknown): “learning methods commit the “inverse crime” [162] by assuming the forward model and ground truth images are discrete, when in fact they are defined in a continuous domain.”
