distinct spectral regions, centered at 750 nm and 1250 nm using two different cameras and a halogen lamp as illumination source. The principle of operation is explained and the system characteristics are reported in details, including the detection sensitivity and spatial resolution. Some limitations of the technique due to sample motion are studied theoretically and experimentally. A few images of biological samples are shown to illustrate the imaging capabilities.
