The article gives a definition of the digital twins concept, describes the terms and conditions when digital models can be treated as digital twins. The paper also reviews types of models used to creative digital twins, defines such models. Examples of the use of digital twins are given based on the indicated model types. The author describes in detail a digital model of network video traffic lagging and recharging of accumulators of wireless sensor network elements using an unmanned aerial vehicle. The publication presents an algorithm defining the sequence of replacement of accumulators of wireless sensor network elements that enables to set up the accumulator replacement process requiring minimum flying time of an unmanned aerial vehicle.
